“She’s Skein – she loves yarn. He’s Tipple – he loves cocktails. Together, they just might make it work!”
Such is the tagline of Skein & Tipple, a Seattle-based yarn store that moonlights as an artisan cocktail bar. With a capacity of 23, you’re going to get cozy with the other patrons…but who cares when you’re with like-minded individuals?
If you’re a knitter or crocheter, you know the importance of being able to feel the yarn you’re going to use in-person. Well, you’re in luck! Skein & Tipple carries Salt & Color Yarn – hand-dyed yarn from Whidbey Island, Washington.
If you’re a fan of libations, you’ll be pleased to know that Skein & Tipple has a wide variety of rotating cocktails, seasonal favorites, and other classics. We’re particular to the Murder Hornet (100 proof rye whiskey, honey ginger syrup, fresh lemon juice, cardamon, aromatic bitters, and an absinthe rinse) and the Blackberry Sour (blackberry liquer + lemon juice simple syrup). You can check out the full list of available cocktails here.
For patrons who are feeling a bit peckish, don’t despair: Skein & Tipple has a small selection of snacks! From the charcuterie plate to the cocktail snack mix to the cheese plate, you’ll be completely covered.
The patrons at Skein & Tipple love their music; as such, you can expect there to be live musicians several nights out of the week. You can check out their events schedule here.
