Evergreen Public Schools Narrows Down Consolidation Options to Four Elementary Schools
On November 2, 2026, the Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) Facilities Review Committee presented four detailed scenarios aimed at addresssing enrollment shifts and optimizing facility utilization across the district. The committee’s proposal focuses on the potential consolidation of three elementary schools: Riverview Elementary, Hearthwood Elementary, and Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary.
With district-wide elementary utilization currently sitting well below capacity at many sites, these scenarios reallocate students to neighboring schools to balance enrollment for the 2027–28 school year and beyond.
The district is actively seeking community input through an online survey, which remains open until Monday, November 9, 2026, at the end of the day.
Overview of Consolidation Proposals
All proposed reassignments affect K-5 elementary assignments only. Middle school and high school attendance boundaries remain unchanged.
