Compass has officially planted a flag in East Vancouver, and local caffeine levels are about to skyrocket.

From Downtown Roots to Eastside Shoots

It’s been a wild ride for the Compass crew. They started by conquering the Downtown scene, set up their powerhouse roastery on St. Johns Road, and most recently expanded to Washougal in late 2025. But for those of us living on the “other side” of the 205, the trek for a Compass latte felt like a cross-country expedition.

Taking over the spot formerly home to Baron Patisserie, the fourth Compass location is perfectly positioned for everyone who considers “heading West” a chore.
