Are you a Harry Potter megafan who has is bummed that you don’t live closer to Harry Potter World or London? Never fear: The Cheeky Cauldron is here! The Cheeky Cauldron is a Harry Potter themed cafe in Lincoln City, Oregon. Located on one of Highway 101’s main walking strip, this adorable cafe is sure to delight all Harry Potter fans (regardless of whether or not you think Cursed Child should be mentioned).

This is what the Cheeky Cauldron is known for! The Cheeky Cauldron is extremely food restriction friendly, so make sure to mention to them if you’re vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, etc. – they’ll be able to accommodate and take food restrictions very seriously!

The Latte That Must Not Be Named

This is the Cheeky Cauldron’s signature latte. Made with a combination of caramel, butterscotch, and topped with whipped cream – this is one drink you won’t want to miss.

Pumpkin Juice

If you like pumpkin (and let’s be real – who doesn’t?), the pumpkin juice is a delicious drink to try. Made up of real pumpkin puree, apple cider, and a secret spice blend.

Cotton Candy Sorting Bomb

Ever wondered what house you would be in? Why not let your drink tell you? This creative concoction is an ice-cold lemonade that comes with a cotton candy bomb that you drop into your drink. Once you do so, your drink will turn a certain color that will tell you what house you’re in.

Pumpkin Pastie

We all remember pumpkin pasties being served at Hogwarts during the holidays, so now it’s your chance to try one! Made up of pumpkin mixed with spices and lovingly rolled into a golden puff pastry, this is a treat you will not want to pass up. This can be made vegan upon request!

Vegetable Wellington Pastie

If you’re looking for more of a savory snack, we highly recommend the vegetable wellington pastie. This dish consists of seasonal vegetables slow roasted in an herb blend and wrapped in a golden puff pastry. This can be made vegan upon request!

Crumpets

If your sweet tooth is winning out, the crumpets are another great thing to snack on here. These are made daily, fresh, in the Cheeky Cauldron kitchen. The two flavors are strawberry jam or orange marmalade. This is vegetarian!

Harry Potter Paraphernalia Abounds

As soon as you step foot into The Cheeky Cauldron, you’ll notice the plethora of Harry Potter paraphernalia lining the walls. Some of it is for sale, and some of it is not, so make sure to ask before you bring something up to the register (believe us: we wanted everything, too).

Some cool Harry Potter things you’ll find decorating the walls: lunchboxes, bobbleheads, art, figurines, candles, banners, posters, snow globes, earrings, broomsticks, witches hats, and so much more.

Take Copious Pictures

Luckily for us, the Cheeky Cauldron is just filled with photo opps. Right next to the register, there’s a Platform 9 3/4 fabric banner. To the left of that, there’s a giant Diagon Alley mural as the backdrop of several of the tables. Outside in the outdoor seating area, there’s a giant Quidditch field mural so you can live out your Snitch-chasing dreams.

In the rare event that it’s actually sunny in the PNW, the Cheeky Cauldron has a lovely outdoor seating area directly outside the restaurant. There are tables, giant lawn games, and a cut-out of the Weasley’s blue car lovingly stuck up in a tree (unfortunately, it’s not a Whomping Willow). Oh, and don’t forget the Quidditch mural above!

Relish in the Small Details

The most diehard of Harry Potter fans know that the magic is in the details. That’s why there’s sure to be many delightful surprises, from the light switch plate that reads “Lumos” for ON and “Nox” for OFF to the _____.

Wait For Your Food in Umbridge’s Office

If you order your food/beverages to go, you’ll be asked to wait in Umbridge’s Office. As expected, this lovely waiting room to the left of the ordering counter is painted completely pink, with pictures of cats adorning the wall. The bathroom and the Room of Requirement can also be found off this office, though the Room of Requirement is suspiciously not open to the public…

Enjoy High Tea With Your Fellow Potterheads

We’re suckers for a good high tea, and the high tea offered at the Cheeky Cauldron definitely does not disappoint! Offered on the first Sunday of every month, this high tea experience comes with a full menu, a pot of tea, and a themed special drink. Tickets are $45 per person, but there’s only 24 spots open every month.
