What’s better than a bar where you can sit and drink with your friends? Well, we’ll tell you: a bar where you can sit and drink and craft with your friends!
Enter DIY Bar: a Portland-based bar that lets friends gather over drinks and crafts. DIY Bar offers a wide range of beginner-friendly crafts from nail + string art to macrame to cement projects to indigo dye sets. Oh, and the most important part: they serve beer, sangria, and mimosas while you get your craft on.
Score!
At DIY Bar, you can opt for one of three options: an instructor-led workshop, self-guided craft classes, or a take-home craft kit. The awesome thing about DIY Bar is that you can choose to do the same or different projects as the rest of your group. So if you have one person in your group who’s a bit more of a craft connoisseur than others, they don’t need to be slowed down by the other slow pokes!
Oh, and guess what? DIY Bar has an outdoor patio space that’s dog-friendly, so you can get the whole family in on it!
Projects range from $39-$44, but during Happy Hour (Wednesday-Friday from 2PM – 5PM), selected projects are $10 off. DIY Bar welcomes walk-ins or reservations.
